The International ProStarInternational announced Oct. 1 that it will soon offer on the ProStar tractor the Allison TC10 fully automatic transmission coupled with the Cummins ISX15 . The engine/transmission combination will be available for order beginning in December 2015 with expected delivery dates of early 2016.
The Allison TC10, offered with 10 forward speeds and two reverse, uses a patented torque converter and full power shifts to help boost performance and productivity. The premium transmission is ideal for tractor applications, International says, and is well-suited for distribution applications where the tractor-trailer splits its work cycle between city and highway conditions.

The Allison TC10 comes equipped with Allison’s newest generation of electronic controls and FuelSense system. A standard five-year or 750,000 mile warranty is also included.
