NPR-HD-Gas-ReeferWith a North American marketshare around 85 percent, you might think there’s not much more Isuzu Commercial Truck of America could accomplish. And you’d be wrong.

Monday, the distributor of America’s best-selling low cab forward trucks, announced it had broken company records for highest parts sales and sales of Isuzu commercial trucks in 2015.

Isuzu dealers retailed 20,725 Isuzu trucks last year, a U.S. record for Isuzu, which also reflected a 10.5 percent gain in Isuzu N-Series sales versus 2014. Calendar-year registrations of Class 3 through 5 units through October 2015 (the latest month for which figures are available) were up less than half the pace of N-Series at roughly 5 percent.

Also last year, Isuzu sold more parts than ever, up 5.5 percent over 2014.

“After celebrating the 30th anniversary of Isuzu trucks here in 2014, what better way to start our fourth decade in the United States market than with record-breaking sales,” pondered Shaun C. Skinner, executive vice president and general manager of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, and adds the company expects to set more records in the years ahead.
