TIA appoints three new vice presidents

Transportation Intermediaries AssociationThe Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) appointed three new vice presidents: Matt Mantione to vice president of membership; Chris Burroughs to vice president of government affairs and Will Sehestedt to vice president of government affairs.

TIA is an organization devoted to the North American 3pl industry and has more than 1,700 members.

“We are thrilled that Matt is coming onboard,” said TIA President and CEO Robert Voltmann. “He brings deep experience and fresh ideas to our staff. Chris and Will have already been extremely effective champions for TIA members, and will continue their advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill to ensure TIA has a voice in the regulatory debates.”

Mantione will lead the efforts in member growth. He joins TIA from Design-Build Institute of America, and will be responsible for supporting and advancing membership needs. He is a board-Certified Association Executive (CAE).

“I’ve known TIA for many years and have an excellent feel for the great work they do for their members,” he said.

Chris Burroughs is TIA’s former senior director of government affairs. He serves as the staff liaison for the Highway Logistics Conference, the Intermodal Logistics Conference, and several other policy committees within TIA. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) as the 3PL industry representative.

Will Sehestedt, the former Director of Government Affairs, serves as a staff liaison to policy committees that focus on technology, operations, international logistics, and airfreight. He represents TIA on the Advisory Body for Safety and Security (ABSS) and Multimodal Transport Institute of FIATA, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations and sits on the Labor Committee at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
