Hamilton’s next-generation swivel technology, HPI or Hamilton Precision Integrated, now can be found on select series of the company’s heavy-duty forged steel casters with load capacities ranging from 600 to 23,000 pounds per caster to handle 24/7 operations such as automatic guided vehicles and tow-line carts. The new design, which improves the bearing’s element of contact and more than doubles the number of contact points, features raceways designed to be harder than conventional hardened raceways, while its surface finish is 16 micro inches.
Many of Hamilton’s forged steel caster series have been upgraded with HPI, which now is standard equipment on the Maxi-Duty (MD/MDD), Enhanced Precision Super Duty (EPSD), Extra Heavy Duty (EHD) and Extended Services (ES) Series. Most other standard series can be upgraded to HPI as an option.
