Rates drop in all three segments in January, still strong and up big year over year
Per-mile spot market rates in all three segments — flatbed, reefer and dry van — fell in the first month of the year from December’s rates, according to data released this week by Internet Truckstop. Compared to Jan. 2013, however, rates are up as much as 30 cents in one segment.
