Hwy Haul, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based firm, has developed a new digital brokerage platform for the logistics and shipping market that aims to cut down inefficiencies.

The company was founded by three individuals. Syed Aman, chief executive, has experience bringing logistics and transportation products to scale in positions with Walmart and GAP. Sharan Grewal, chief technology officer, has designed platforms for businesses like Walmart and Wells Fargo. Zahed Khan, chief operating officer, has developed several businesses in shipping and trucking. He owned his own fleet of trucks and distribution center before joining the Hwy Haul team.

Hwy Haul says there are three main components to the new platform that address pain points for owner operators and fleets such as manually booking loads over the phone and deadhead miles:

  • A shipper portal for shipping enterprises to create and track their freight from the beginning to end of delivery.
  • A driver mobile app for truckers to book and deliver loads without having to make phone calls or wait.
  • A carrier portal for trucking companies to manage their fleet and drivers.

By taking a modern approach to historical problems, Hwy Haul says its new digital brokerage platform is designed to make fundamental improvements to logistics at all levels.
