Konik Heavy Duty Products has unveiled its new Quick-Install Mud Flap Bracket, a galvanized field-service solution designed to restore vehicle roadworthiness in minutes without the need for welding or drilling.

The bracket addresses a common pain point for fleet operators: DOT compliance delays caused by mud flap damage. By utilizing a clamp-style design that mounts directly to I-beam crossmembers, the bracket allows technicians or drivers to perform repairs using only two 9/16-inch wrenches.

Engineered for the roadside

Traditional mud flap brackets often require permanent modifications to the chassis, but Konik’s solution uses a spring-tab clamping system to maintain tension. Key specifications include:

  • No-tool installation: Eliminates the need for specialized shop equipment.
  • Heavy-duty build: Formed from grade-50 steel and hot-dip galvanized for corrosion resistance.
  • Winch-track friendly: Designed with a low profile to avoid interference with trailer equipment.
  • Load distribution: Includes a backer plate to prevent mud flap tearing.

Reducing maintenance bottlenecks

“Our goal was to make the fix easy,” said Thom Davis, Product Line Manager at Konik. “Technicians can install it in minutes using standard hand tools and get equipment back on the road quickly.”

Because mud flaps are frequently destroyed during tire failures, Konik is positioning this bracket as an essential "emergency kit" item for service trucks and fleet shops to avoid unnecessary citations and long repair backlogs.
