00:00 In this week’s CCJ Tech Shorts, we’ll take a look at a new safety feature that identifies potential pedestrian collision, Noregon’s latest JPRO update, a telematics provider’s fuel card integration and more.
00:38 Vehicle lifecycle management and fleet safety solutions provider Solera has added a new capability to its SmartDrive product line on the Solera Fleet Platform.
SmartDrive Pedestrian Collision Warning uses advanced computer vision, sensors and vehicle data to identify pedestrians ahead of the vehicle and evaluate potential risks based on proximity and speed. When risk is identified, events are captured within the SmartDrive platform, where they can be reviewed and used to support targeted driver coaching and enhance ongoing safety training.
01:09 The latest software update for Noregon’s JPRO is now available and packed with new features, settings and coverage additions. JPRO – a flagship product in Noregon’s suite of maintenance technologies – provides rapid diagnostics and guided troubleshooting for on- and off-highway vehicles and equipment.
Prior to this release, Noregon launched the ability to diagnose CAN bus issues and read voltage and resistance directly in JPRO. This update expands on that technology through tighter integration with JPRO’s Repair Mentor feature, an embedded tool that guides technicians through the optimal diagnostic process. Repair Mentor now identifies the location of an open, disconnected or short circuit and graphs the live data values necessary to determine the root cause.
01:53 Fleet management and fleet safety platform Samsara has integrated with Coast fuel card.
The integration enables fleets to edit Coast policies natively in Samsara, configuring precise spending limits and purchase requirements without toggling between portals. The system continuously cross-references purchase attempts against active telematics data, automatically blocking transactions in real time based on GPS location, tank capacity and policy rules. Fuel purchases sync automatically into Samsara, giving managers a direct view of transactions declined due to potential fraud.
02:29 Tabi Connect, an automated rate management and freight quoting platform, has integrated with ShipperGuide, an AI-native Shipper TMS, to give providers access to shipper freight digitally and streamline freight quoting and execution.
Brokers operating through API connections post higher tender acceptance rates. In its first month operating on the combined platform, 90% of Ryan Transportation’s loads were priced via API. The brokerage saw bookings double and an increase in spot bidding opportunities.
Benefits extend to the shipper side as well. The combination of ShipperGuide’s API speed and Tabi Connect's real-time rate control eliminates the friction of manual coverage. When a primary carrier rejects a tender, shippers don't have to scramble to the load board. Instead, API-connected brokers respond instantly with pricing that reflects current market conditions.
03:19 Supply chain management solutions provider Blue Yonder has partnered with Syndigo, a provider of Product Experience Management and product content solutions.
The partnership integrates Syndigo’s GS1-aligned product content with Cognitive Solutions, a suite of AI-powered supply chain management tools built on the Blue Yonder platform. Syndigo’s data now flows directly into Blue Yonder workflows in real time, eliminating the manual data cleansing that delays onboarding, distorts demand signals and creates planning exceptions.
Using the integration, one simple update within Syndigo cascades to every partner within the Blue Yonder Network of retailers, brands and carriers across the supply chain, resulting in greater efficiencies, cost savings and prevention of lost sales. With the ability to leverage both standardized and customizable product data into AI-orchestrated supply chain workflows, the partnership aims to help organizations onboard products faster, improve the efficiency of execution and ensure products show up as expected in stores.
