00:23 HeavyDutyIQ and CarTechIQ Florida, two AI-powered diagnostic software companies that previously served the automotive and heavy-duty truck repair industries separately, have merged. The two entities now operate under the consolidated brand name GlobalTechIQ.

The two companies previously operated as separate diagnostic architectures optimized for entirely different vehicles, engineering systems and data environments that are now unified in a multi-agent AI ecosystem that pulls simultaneously from a combined library.

The GlobalTechIQ software analyzes diagnostic trouble codes, reported symptoms, recalls, vehicle history and other available information to provide technicians with ranked probable repair scenarios and actionable diagnostic guidance. The merger aims to help repair facilities improve technician efficiency, reduce diagnostic guesswork and repair vehicles more quickly.

01:19 Freight platform Truckstop.com has added a new feature that helps carriers and brokers spend less time on paperwork. Document Audit is an AI-powered document review agent that scans documents uploaded to the platform and compares them against load details already in the system. This enables brokers to catch discrepancies before they delay payment.

The feature is part of Truckstop’s 30 for 30 series in which it is releasing at least 30 platform updates this year in honor of its 30^th anniversary. The company is also celebrating the one-year anniversary of its acquisition of Denim, a transportation-focused fintech company and factoring service.

Since that acquisition, Truckstop Financial has processed $3 billion in payments, accelerating carrier payouts and enabling brokers to offer QuickPay to their carriers at no cost to the brokerage. Brokers can then choose to charge carriers a small expedited-payment fee and keep 100% of that revenue. Over the past year, brokers using Truckstop Financial retained a combined $1 million in QuickPay fee income they would otherwise have split with a factoring provider.

In the first half of 2026, 87% of payments went out the same day, over half were paid in under four hours from submission, and $12 million was advanced on weekends, covering nearly 10,000 loads paid on a Saturday or Sunday.

02:39 Samsara’s fuel management capabilities are now centralized into a single pane of glass. The company has launched the Samsara Fuel Command Center, which gives operations and finance teams one place to identify waste, guide drivers to lower-cost fuel and prevent fuel card misuse.

Fuel Command Center identifies where money is being lost across idling, fueling location, driver efficiency, fraud and suspicious fuel drops, then recommends the highest-impact actions. Managers can track quarterly trends and act from the same dashboard, for example, by turning on in-cab idling alerts or adding preferred fuel vendors.

It also builds preferred fuel stops into a route before a driver leaves the yard. It accounts for corporate negotiated rates, responds when fuel runs low mid-route, and reroutes to the nearest preferred station. Additionally, it aims to eliminate fuel card misuse via Samsara’s integration with Coast, which connects card authorization to vehicle location.

03:37 Trucker Path, the provider of a mobile app for North American truckers, has partnered with Diesel Laptops, which provides diagnostic tools, repair data and training for diesel technicians. Under this collaboration, the companies are offering owner-operators and small fleets a limited-time promotion: a $100 discount on the Diesel Decoder from Diesel Laptops for Trucker Path users.

The Diesel Decoder device plugs directly into the diagnostic port and connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone, using the free Diesel Decoder app to read manufacturer-specific fault codes, clear codes and perform critical commands like DPF regens. The offer includes 30 days of Diesel Repair Professional, a database of wiring diagrams, labor times and technical documents for every make and model. The bundle also includes a 30-day subscription to Trucker Path Diamond, which enhances trip planning to optimize Hours-of-Service, real-time parking availability at over 20,000 locations and more than 500,000 points of interest relevant to truckers.

04:37 Descartes Systems Group has acquired Tai Software, a provider of transportation management solutions for freight brokers, in a $100 million transaction. Tai’s AI-powered TMS orchestrates the entire shipment lifecycle across truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), drayage and cross-border operations by unifying quoting, carrier sourcing, load execution, billing and customer engagement in a single workflow.

Descartes noted that this deal expands its capabilities and adds transaction, carrier and shipment execution data to the Descartes Global Logistics Network.
