A record 1,400-plus entrants, mostly mechanics, tested for a shot to participate at the 2017 Rush Truck Centers Tech Skills Rodeo in San Antonio this week. Only 187 made the trip. Following Monday’s elimination rounds, that number has been reduced to 31, with Dallas having most of the finalists–five in all. Winners will be announced later tonight.
