CLI promotes two executives

Carrier Logistics Inc. (CLI) announced that two senior executives, who have played major roles in its growth and success, have been promoted to vice president positions and now have equity standing in the company.

Kevin Linardic, who directs CLI’s programming staff and the development of its FACTS system, has been appointed vice president of technology. Ben Wiesen was named vice president of products and a member of the company’s board of directors. Both executives joined CLI in 1995.

“Kevin and Ben have been integral members of our team for nearly half of CLI’s existence,” says Ken Weinberg, who co-founded CLI with Don Adams in 1972.

Linardic has been responsible for creating a comprehensive rate engine, which is a key component in CLI’s FACTS system. The robust rate engine supports most published tariffs and customer specific rates. The rate engine also is scalable, supporting both small Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) customers as well as large enterprises with more than 2,000 concurrent users.

Wiesen has been a driving force in the development of FACTS. Most recently, he created the CLI Web module, FACTSweb, a customer service tool which goes beyond shipment tracking and tracing to include reporting capabilities and analytics.

CLI says it has installations worldwide for their clients that include DHL Express, FedEx UK, Purolator, Standard Forwarding, Toll Holdings, Midland Courier and Pacific Coast Express.
