Indianapolis-based Magnum Express announced a pay increase effective Sunday, June 6, for both company drivers and owner-operators. Company drivers will receive a $.025-per-mile pay increase, while owner-operators leased on to Magnum will receive an additional $.035-per-mile increase.

“This pay announcement reflects two things for us,” says Scot Sauer, director of recruiting and maintenance. “First, we value our professional drivers for sticking with us through a challenging year in 2009, when all trucking companies were forced to watch every penny closely. Second, recent boosts in freight volumes we are seeing have allowed us to step up our pay packages to show them our appreciation.”

Magnum Express provides short- to medium-haul JIT service for a variety of industries. The company’s primary operating area is Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan, Kentucky, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and North Carolina.
