U.S. diesel price falls 0.5 cents, $2.956

Fuel Nozzle11The national average retail price of a gallon of diesel fell 0.5 cents to $2.956 for the week ending Monday, June 28. Some market prices increased according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The price is 34.8 cents higher than a year ago.

Regions including the Lower Atlantic, Midwest, Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountain fell, while the East Coast, West Coast and California reported higher prices, led by 2.2 cents to $3.147 in California. The cheapest diesel remained on the Gulf Coast at $2.893 a gallon.
