Cummins Inc. announced that it has promoted Lisa Yoder to the newly created position of vice president of global supply chain. In her new role, Yoder will report to Cummins President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Linebarger and become a corporate officer.

Yoder joined Cummins in 1987 as a manufacturing engineer and has served as executive director of supply chain and operations for Cummins Power Generation since November 2007. Yoder now assumes responsibility for management of Cummins’ worldwide supply chain across all business segments.

“Supply chain management is among the most critical improvement areas for Cummins as the company looks to achieve its long-term growth objectives, while at the same time meeting customer requirements,” Linebarger says. “As our company has grown in size and scope over the years, our supply chain has grown in complexity. Lisa has a wealth of supply chain experience and knowledge, making her ideally suited to this new role.”

Yoder has held a number of engineering, management and IT roles during her tenure at Cummins. Prior to her current role, she served as executive director of operations and information technology for Power Generation from 2006 to 2007. She also served as director of IT for Power Generation from 2003 to 2006.
