Eaton names Jonsson executive VP/CTO

Eaton Corp. announced that Lennart Jonsson has been named executive vice president and chief technology officer for the enterprise, responsible for leading the company’s development of robust technology roadmaps that increase its ability to create solutions for its customers’ power management challenges. Jonsson also will focus on building organizational capability in the company’s technology and engineering functions to support fast-paced development of innovative power management products and services.

Jonsson joined Eaton with the Powerware acquisition in 2004 and served as the senior engineering manager responsible for the development of all power quality products globally until he was named vice president of technology and chief technology officer for the Electrical Group in 2007. Prior to joining Eaton, he held positions with Nea-Lindberg AS in Denmark, Ulveco Power Systems in Sweden, Fiskars Power Systems OY/AB in Finland and Deltec Electronics Corp., Exide Electronics/Powerware and Invensys Power Systems/Powerware in the United States.
