Vision Logistics carriers are now ‘United’

The board of directors for Vision Logistics Holding Corp. voted to establish a new company, United Vision Logistics, signifying that the four Gulf Coast-based trucking companies that Vision Logistics Holding has owned for several years have been fully integrated.

Between July 2007 and April 2008, owner, New York-based private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe acquired Ace Transportation, Dynasty Transportation, Texas Hot Shot Company and Venture Transport under the Vision Logistics Holding umbrella.

“United Vision Logistics is the consolidation of all of the strengths and competencies of each of the four companies, now further enhanced by new technologies and increased power in the marketplace,” said Tom Perdue, CEO of United Vision Logistics.

United Vision Logistics is headquartered in Lafayette, La., and has numerous terminals in Louisiana and Texas in support of energy customers as well as general commodities terminals and truck brokerage operations across the U.S. The company operates uusing more than 2,800 owner-operators, 130 terminals, and nearly 400 employees.

Vision Logistics Holding Corp. was No. 43 in the 2010 CCJ Top 250 ranking.
