The deadline to sign up for the April ACOFAS CSA Technician Training Clinic in Allentown, Pa., is March 30. The clinic is set for April 19-20 at Ross Body & Frame and has a capacity of 50 participants.

The focus of the clinic is the Compliance Safety Accountability procedures that went into effect in December and how they will affect aftermarket businesses and customers. According to ACOFAS, the clinic will teach businesses how to stay on top of the new regulations.

The CSA portion of the clinic will be taught by John Cheruka of Commercial Vehicle Safety and Accident. Cheruka will teach a class, with hands-on vehicle inspections to follow. New Jersey and Pennsylvania law enforcement officers also will be on hand to award certificates to technicians who meet CSA regulations.

Michael Kinney, formerly of Noregon Systems, also will be on hand during the clinic to demonstrate and instruct technicians on the Noregon J-Pro diagnostics computer system designed to meet all CSA regulations. ACOFAS also will provide samples of the new CSA handbooks, as well as a CSA poster and annual vehicle inspection reports.
