Central Freight Lines receives safety recognition from TMTA

Central Freight Lines received the 1st Place Safety Award from the Texas Motor Transportation Association (TMTA). The less-than-truckload  for-hire common carrierwas honored as the carrier that has achieved the highest safety standards in the State of Texas.

Each year the TMTA recognizes and honors the industry’s elite for stellar truck safety and maintenance programs. In a repeat performance of the previous year, CFI was awarded the top honor in the LTL/P&D Division.

“Safety is a high concern for the entire company and each one of our employees plays a role in this mission.” said Don Orr, president and CEO of Central Freight Lines.  “We are very proud of our Texas-based drivers for this stellar achievement.”

Jeff Crissey is Fusable's content director for OEM/Aftermarket and is responsible for coordinating special editorial projects and events for the company's Commercial Carrier Journal, Equipment World and Overdrive brands. Prior to this role, Crissey served as editor of CCJ for 10 years. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University and has been a member of Fusable's editorial staff for 27 years, where his coverage of industry topics has earned numerous regional and national awards over the years. Before joining Fusable, Crissey was a production assistant at CNN in Atlanta.
