NationaLease, a North American full-service truck leasing organization, announced the retirement this month of its president, Gene Scoggins, after a 37-year transportation career. Scoggins’ career began as an employee of a NationaLease member, Interstate NationaLease, in Albany, Ga. He joined NationaLease in 1999 to build its national accounts program.
The company has more than 600 service locations throughout the United States and Canada and a combined customer fleet of 125,000 tractors, trucks and trailers. The company provides services for private fleets and transportation service providers and comprises 167 independent businesses employing 22,000 people.
