GVW Parts Distribution, formerly Autocar Parts, a provider of truck and trailer parts for North American fleets, announced that it has opened its newest distribution facility in Harrisburg, Pa., and will begin shipping from the location immediately.
GVW says the Harrisburg facility is focused on providing better service for the company’s customers in the eastern half of the United States and Canada by shortening the time it takes for customers to get their parts. With the opening of Harrisburg, GVW also will be adding new positions to operate the facility and to expand its growing team of customer service representatives.
“Launching the Harrisburg facility is a great step for us, but it’s just the beginning,” says Dan Millar, GVW general manager. “We are committed to creating a culture and infrastructure that works for our customers, and this facility is another step in keeping that promise. The next phases of our plans include adding distribution centers to serve the southeastern and southwestern states by the end of this year.”
