Transmission manufacturer Tremec announced the appointment of Jeremy Holt as vice president, where he will be responsible for marketing, sales, application engineering and strategic planning. Tremec’s prior vice president of sales and marketing, Lee Davis, will retire at the end of this year but will continue to engage in special assignments for the company.

With more than 30 years of management experience in automotive engineering, manufacturing, technology, operations and sales, Holt’s appointment is part of a strategic initiative to position the company for continued growth in the global powertrain market.

“We’re delighted to have Jeremy join the Tremec executive team at this exciting time in our company’s history,” said Bob Neal, Tremec director. “His approach to cutting-edge automotive technology and background in highly-engineered powertrain products will provide a solid foundation for Tremec to become a leading global provider of advanced technology transmission systems and components.”

Prior to joining Tremec, Holt served as president and chief executive officer of NxtGen Emissions Controls Inc. Earlier, he served as president of Ricardo Inc., as well as executive director of Ricardo. Holt began his career as an engineer for AE Group – an engineering company that was acquired by T&N and later by Federal Mogul – where he went on to hold a number of engineering and management positions of increasing responsibility.
