Pegasus TransTech announced that Houg Special Services of Commerce City, Colo., has implemented Transflo Express truck stop scanning to speed its daily billing process.

Pegasus TransTech is a provider of truck stop scanning, in-cab scanning, smart-phone scanning, and other document management services that speed business processes.

Houg is a full-service transportation and logistics company. The company’s fleet covers 48 states and specializes in serving the food and beverage industry with dry van and refrigerated equipment.

“We also provide intermodal drayage, pool distribution, short and long term warehousing. And we have a full service brokerage,” said Jenyce Houg, chief executive officer.

Houg launched the company with her father in 1987. Both her father and brother are part of the business, but she has been the company’s owner since 1991.

Transflo Express is used by Houg’s 100-truck fleet that includes 60 company owned units. The balance of the fleet is owner-operators and contractors who run under their own authority.

“We request that they all use Transflo Express,” she said. “It is imperative to get billing out daily. It’s something we absolutely push and require to make sure the drivers send that in.”
