Paragon Software Systems, a niche software company focused on vehicle routing and scheduling, announced that Koch Companies has purchased Paragon’s Multi Depot and Single depot transportation planning systems. The company will use the software for operations planning and bid generation at its trucking and dedicated freight transportation divisions.
Paragon’s strategic planning software capabilities for operational transportation modelling allow providers to analyze alternative transportation strategies and network options when formulating bids for transportation services customers.
Paragon says the suite of software modules covers the complete spectrum of distribution analysis and can be used to determine effective routes and schedules, and to evaluate options for fleet deployment that will improve efficiency and customer service and reduce transportation costs.
Minneapolis-based Koch Companies is a privately held, asset based, trucking, warehousing and leasing company. The transportation services provider uses a combination of owned and contracted assets to deliver optimal transportation solutions, including domestic truckload and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping services.
“Koch Companies selected Paragon’s Single Depot and Multi Depot software to enhance its ability to design, implement and manage supply chain solutions that provide customers with operational efficiency and cost savings,” said William Salter, president & CEO of Paragon. “We are pleased that Koch Companies has chosen Paragon and look forward to serving them.”
