Spireon, a provider of mobile resource management (MRM) and business intelligence systems that connect companies to their mobile assets and workforces, announced that Covenant Transport will rollout Spireon’s FleetLocate Trailer Tracking Management system throughout their fleet.

Covenant Transport offers expedited dry and refrigerated teams, regional solo and dedicated truckload services. Covenant provides specialized services in critical, hazmat, government and cross-border shipments to Canada and Mexico. Covenant is a subsidiary of Covenant Transportation Group, Inc., a holding company for several transportation providers throughout the United States.

Prior to adopting FleetLocate, Covenant was looking for a new trailer tracking system that provided more real-time trailer information, location history and automated reporting to help them better manage their large, dispersed fleet of trailers in order to increase trailer utilization and enhance customer service.

“Two of our company’s key objectives are driver satisfaction and excellent customer service,” explains Scott Flerl, CTG’s Director of Asset Management. “FleetLocate supports us in both of these areas by making better use of our drivers’ time with no wasted trips looking for trailers. The system also allows us to keep our trailers in top condition with alerts when preventative maintenance is due based on real mileage, and enables us to communicate load location instantly to customers to exceed their expectations.”
