Rand McNally announced that its 7-inch truck GPS and Electronic Logging device pair has been named a CES Innovation Award Honoree for 2015. The product pair earned the award in the In-Vehicle Accessories/Control/ Navigation category.
Products entered in this program, administered by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), are judged by a panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media. The award honors outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products.
Rand McNally’s next generation truck GPS, the IntelliRoute TND 730, when paired with its HD 100 device, creates a full-featured transportation management solution that meets the upcoming Electronic Hours of Service mandate (which specifies that driver logs must be tracked electronically).
The TND 730/HD 100 retails at a price point below $600 for the two devices, with a modest monthly service fee. Mobile fleet management capabilities with similar capabilities have traditionally cost $1,200 and more.
