Truck operators out of XPO Logistics‘ terminal in Erie, Pa., have filed for representation by the Teamsters Union. The drivers will vote Friday on whether to join the union.

XPO’s Erie terminal is a former Con-way Freight terminal, acquired in 2015 by XPO in its $3 billion acquisition of Con-way and its affiliates.

The Teamsters in recent years have been gunning to unionize XPO and other LTL and parcel delivery companies, organizing votes by drivers at terminals for FedEx, XPO and Con-way and others. Results for the union have been mostly split, with some drivers and warehouse workers voting to join the union and others rejecting Teamsters affiliation.
