FlowBelow sliding suspension aero package earns SmartWay certification

FlowBelow Aero announced its new Trailer AeroSlider Stage 2 system has been verified foe the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program. The system achieved 1.93% fuel savings during a recent test done in accordance with EPA SmartWay test protocols. FlowBelow says it adds a 0.70% fuel savings improvement over FlowBelow’s Stage 1 AeroSlider System.

The Trailer AeroSlider is mounted directly to the sliding trailer suspension and travels with the suspension. The AeroSlider consists of multiple components positioned between and behind the trailer wheels to control the airflow around the trailer wheels and the wake behind the trailer. The system can work in conjunction with other trailer-mounted aerodynamic devices.

FlowBelow also announced its Quick-Release Wheel Covers can now be ordered through International dealers as a factory option on all International LT and RH trucks. The wheel covers also will be included on International’s new fuel-efficiency package for the LT along with bumper effects and chassis skirts.

The FlowBelow products will be warranted by International Truck as well as made available for aftermarket purchase through its dealer network.
