00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts highlights more accurate driver safety alerts, a fleet health management provider’s expansion and updated platform and more.
00:34 Questar Auto Technologies has released its Total Fleet Health solution worldwide and, with that, a new version with expanded precision and accuracy as well as new features.
Questar’s enhanced AI models deliver accurate root cause analysis, early fault detection and predictions of what is likely to fail and when. Each vehicle receives a dynamic health score that continuously updates based on real-time data, fault history and predictive models.
The Total Fleet Health solution now includes a new, embedded AI Assistant that lets every stakeholder explore fleet data in natural language, and new predictive ranking flags vehicles most likely to experience a breakdown or critical failure. Also new, the estimated cost of ignoring calculates the estimated financial impact of delaying repair.
01:21 PCS Software has integrated the DAT One load board into Cortex Opportunity Manager and Cortex Backhaul Booster, the AI-powered freight prioritization and backhaul optimization features inside PCS TMS.
Through a customer-managed DAT One subscription, dispatchers can search DAT One load board results without leaving PCS. Loads are automatically converted into structured opportunities inside Cortex Opportunity Manager, where they are immediately ranked using each fleet's configured profitability logic, factoring in rate, lane, fuel and operational costs.
Cortex Backhaul Booster, PCS's backhaul optimization feature, also has the DAT One load board as a direct freight source. Dispatchers see backhaul opportunities sourced from DAT One scored and ranked alongside all other freight, without any manual input.
02:12 AI-powered video telematics LightMetrics has rolled out ΦFP, a new cloud-based AI layer that filters every driver safety alert before it reaches a fleet manager, ensuring that only genuine safety events make it through to the coaching queue.
LightMetrics’ edge AI already achieves 94% precision on drowsiness and fatigue detection, which means that for every 1,000 drowsy driving incidents, roughly 60 alerts are false positives. In early customer deployments, ΦFP reduces that number to nine, lifting precision from 94% to 99.1%.
02:48 The Fleet Success Company has launched Sublet Invoice Capture, a new AI-enabled functionality that turns sublet invoices into structured work orders in RTA Fleet360 fleet management software.
The functionality reduces manual entry, improves accuracy and ensures every repair is documented in the fleet’s maintenance history. This closes a longstanding blind spot and ensures that sublet work is captured in the fleet record completely and accurately with minimal manual entry required.
Sublet Invoice Capture allows RTA Fleet360 users to upload a scanned or PDF vendor invoice directly into RTA Fleet360. The AI-enabled process captures key details including vendor name, asset information, parts and labor, quantities, totals, taxes, notes and invoice date. Users then review the extracted data, edit any fields that need adjustment and save the record. RTA Fleet360 creates an open work order or adds lines to existing work orders tied to the asset, bringing outside work into the same maintenance workflow as in-house jobs.
