Southeastern Freight Lines and three of its partners — A. Duie Pyle, Dayton Freight Lines and Oak Harbor Freight Lines — earned recognition for service across the nation in the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council’s 2009 Carrier of the Year Awards, which recognizes transportation providers for customer service, operational excellence, pricing, business relationship, leadership and technology.

“The NASSTRAC award has been encouraging the high performance of carriers for years,” says Eric Morley, director of logistics for Best Buy Co. and NASSTRAC’s current president. “NASSTRAC leverages this annual awards program to continually promote performance excellence in various market segments of transportation.”

This is Southeastern’s eighth NASSTRAC Carrier of the Year award. Southeastern received the award in the Regional-Southeast category, and its partners won in their regional categories: A. Duie Pyle (Northeast), Dayton Freight Lines (Midwest) and Oak Harbor Freight Lines (West).

“This recognition validates that we are partnering with our nation’s most effective regional carriers,” says Jamie Long, national partnership manager for the Lexington, S.C.-based less-than-truckload carrier. “Our partner alliances give us the ability to provide ‘best-in-class’ transit times with seamless technology throughout the United States.”

Other members of the Southeastern network include Midwest Motor Express, Quik X Transportation and Central Arizona Freight.
