Hornady Transportation announced Friday, Aug. 27, that the company has purchased 30 new Kenworth T660 tractors scheduled to start rolling this month. Renzy Hill, supervisor of maintenance for the Monroeville, Ala.-based carrier, says the purchase of the rigs indicates Hornady’s status as a financially solid and growing company.

According to Hornady, the T660 is well-suited for line-haul and pickup-and-delivery operations. The set-back front axle provides added maneuverability, and driver comfort is enhanced due to a quiet cab, convenient controls and deluxe interior. The T660’s eight-bag air suspension and cab/sleeper suspension help provide a smooth ride.
