Paccar set to make Allison fully auto trans available on Kenworth, Peterbilt trucks

TC10Through an engineering program with Allison Transmission, Paccar says it is poised to release Allison’s fully automatic TC10 transmission in the Kenworth T680 and T880 and Peterbilt Models 567 and 579 equipped with either with either MX or Cummins engines.

Offered with 10 forward speeds and two reverse, the TC10 uses a patented torque converter and twin counter shaft design.  It is designed for tractor configurations to optimize performance and fuel economy with uninterrupted power shifting in all ranges.

A five-year or 750,000 mile transmission system warranty is included.
