John Krumheuer hired as SmartDrive sales exec

SmartDrive Systems has hired John Krumheuer, formerly with PeopleNet, as its new vice president of North American sales. Krumheuer has over 20 years experience in transportation technology and will be leading SmartDrive’s regional and inside sales teams, joining Mike Baker, vice president of strategic accounts, in SmartDrive’s sales organization.

Over the past five years, SmartDrive has quadrupled in size as a provider of video safety technologies. With the release of its new transportation intelligence platform and SR4 hardware, SmartDrive expects to significantly accelerate growth. SR4 converges data, devices and network connectivity to lower technology costs and reduce complexity, the company says.

Krumheuer was most recently the vice president of sales and account management for PeopleNet, a Trimble Company.
