Panasonic Solutions Co. announced the newest addition to the Toughbook U1 family – the U1 Ultra, which combines the portability of traditional handheld devices with the benefits of a full Windows OS. The U1 Ultra offers improved sunlight viewability, faster performance and Windows 7.
The U1 Ultra is a fully-rugged device, tested to MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards and capable of surviving drops up to six feet. The U1 Ultra is ideal for highly mobile jobs such as direct store delivery (DSD), eCitation and vegetation management in markets like supply chain management and transportation.
Optional features include a 29-key numeric keypad for quick data entry and easy navigation, GPS, barcode reader, camera and mobile broadband to drive new levels of productivity.
