Aventics and VHTek have developed an electro-mechanical valve technology that can be applied to exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), intake throttle, engine exhaust braking, turbocharging and other applications to improve diesel engine efficiency and emissions, the companies announced at the Mid-America Trucking Show Thursday.
The hot-side EGR flap valve design is available in single and dual bore configurations in flap sizes from 35mm to 75mm.
The hot-side EGR poppet valve design is available in seat diameters from 30mm to 50mm.
