Diesel continues price plummet, hits 26-month low
The national average price for a gallon of on-highway diesel fell another 2.3 cents in the week ended Sept. 22 to $3.778, according to the Department of Energy. Thatâs the lowest average diesel price since the week ended July 16, 2012, and the 12th straight week that the price of diesel has either dropped or remained flat.
