Parker Chelsea recently introduced its new 287 Series PTO from a design utilizing what the company calls the best of its technology and innovations from its 280 series.
An intermittent rating is overcome through the constant mesh PTO design of the 287 series which utilizes wider gears and a larger capacity bearing to provide a single continuous duty torque rating. The 287 is designed to provide maximum power in a compact design.
Pump clearance issues have been improved with rotatable cast iron flanges, and the wet spline pump flange option provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life.
“You expect durability, reliability and an unmatched toughness from your work truck,” says a Parker Chelsea representative. “Don’t settle for anything less from your PTO.
“Versatility, power, ease of maintenance and installation makes the new 287 Series the only choice for your vocational truck requirements.”
The broad coverage of speed ranges on the 287 series expands to 9 ratios. The standard output shaft features a new positive stop for driveline outputs that eliminate the ability for shaft couplings to damage oil seals.
Three assembly arrangements provide you with maximum clearance on your application. The pressure / lube hose will be included with the new 287 Series.
The 287 series is designed for refuse, aerial, snow and ice removal and fire and rescue applications.
