Money Monday: Truck and trailer orders post huge gains, fuel prices pressing rates
On this New Year’s edition of Money Monday (and the last of 2014), Class 8 truck orders continued their recent boom, while trailer orders also saw a big spike. Rates have seen a small drop in recent weeks, partly attributable to changes in fuel prices and surcharges. Also, the restart rollback is expected to boost capacity utilization.

Per a request made in October, Navistar International has been granted its motion to consolidate the more than two dozen lawsuits against it and its EGR-only engines, and proceedings in the bundled suits has been transferred to the Northern District of Illinois.
