At the National Association of Small Trucking Companies’ annual conference in Nashville on Nov. 7, BigRoad COO Terry Frey showcased an update to the company’s software-only logging and management apps called DashLink. NTSB calls out FMCSA on carrier oversight, asks agency to further restrict phone usage
NTSB has asked FMCSA to further restrict phone usage of commercial truck drivers by prohibiting the “hands-free” usage of portable electronic devices in light of a May 2013 crash. FMCSA oversight, however, also contributed to the accident, NTSB says.
