PeopleNet adds new integration with TMT Fleet Maintenance software

PeopleNet a Trimble Company and provider of fleet mobility technology, announced new integration features with TMT Fleet Maintenance from TMW Systems. The new features automate the process of road call issues and give fleets more options for preventative maintenance, it says.

When drivers have an issue such as a flat tire, the new Road Call Integration feature found on the latest version of TMT Fleet Maintenance allows drivers to fill out an automated repair order form on their PeopleNet devices. Instead of recording information over the phone, back office personnel will receive all necessary information, including the exact latitude and longitude of a driver’s location, in order to dispatch a road call crew.

“The new road call integration feature automates the process of break down information flowing into TMT, reducing data entry for dispatch and shop personnel,” said Renaldo Adler, principal of asset maintenance, Fleets and Service Centers. “By streamlining the process required for repairs, we can get trucks and drivers back on the road quickly and more efficiently.”

TMW also announced new engine data enhancements to TMT, including VIN number synching and power take off (PTO) time and fuel usage measurement. These tools can be used for scheduling preventative maintenance.

In addition, TMT will support the customization of eDVIR defect lists, and will give fleets the option to require mandatory driver acknowledgement of repair completion forms.

“These integrations are examples of how TMW and PeopleNet work together to help transform a fleet’s maintenance operation,” said Kerri Tabor, PeopleNet director of integration services. “The enhancements to the TMT Fleet Maintenance integration to PeopleNet will help fleets save time and money.”

The integration announcements were made at the annual TMW TransForum User Conference being held in Orlando, Fl., Sept. 13-15. TMW Systems is a provider of enterprise transportation management and asset maintenance software and a sister company of PeopleNet.
