Chevy reports 2015 City Express fuel economy numbers
The fuel economy for the 2015 City Express cargo van, Chevrolet’s first entry into the small van segment, will offer an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, resulting in 25 mpg combined, the company reported Thursday.

The Senate this week introduced its version of a bill to cut natural gas-powered trucks a break, giving them an exemption to federal truck weight standards as a means to mitigate the weight of nat gas tanks and to prevent natural gas adopters from being at a competitive disadvantage.

CARB can now also require use of aero devices on tractors
An EPA ruling clears CARB to enforce similar requirements on 2011-2013 year-model tractors with integrated sleepers. CARB’s greenhouse gas rule, which went into effect January of 2010, required the use of EPA SmartWay-verified tires and other SmartWay-verified equipment on all new trucks and trailers.
