FMCSA planning program to add long-wanted âcrash accountabilityâ to CSA, at least temporarily
The lack of crash accountability in CSA â namely, using crashes that were in no way the fault of carriers against them in their CSA percentile rankings â has been one of the trucking industryâs chief complaints against the CSA program. A two-year program planned by FMCSA would change that, at least during the time of the test.

The trailerâs âwhite sideâŚagainst a brightly lit skyâ caused the carâs Autopilot system to fail to register the full-sized tractor-trailer crossing the highway, Tesla said in a blog post on its site. The Autopilot system is still in public beta testing, Tesla says, and users are warned before using the system that the technology is new and that drivers should not take their hands off the wheel.
