Prestolite Electric’s Leece-Neville PowerPro and PowerPro Extreme series high-torque starters are suited for a range of medium-duty, heavy-duty and extreme-use applications. The 12- and 24-volt lightweight starters are engineered to provide power for 12- to 40-liter engines and include high-torque and high-power designs, planetary gear reduction, rotatable flanges and soft-start relays.
• PowerPro 5, for medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines up to 11 liters, offers 12 volts of 5kW starting power. Coverage includes Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, International, John Deere, Mack and Perkins engines.
• PowerPro 7, for heavy-duty diesel engines up to 16 liters, offers 12 volts of 7kW starting power. Coverage includes Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Mack, Mercedes-Benz, Paccar and Volvo engines.
• PowerPro 7.5, for medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines up to 14 liters, offers 24 volts of 7.5kW starting power.
• PowerPro Extreme 10, for extreme-use heavy equipment, offers 24 volts of 10.5kW starting power. Coverage includes Case, Caterpillar, Cummins, Hitachi, John Deere, Komatsu and MTU engines.
