U.S. diesel price above $4 for first time in 3 months
The national average retail diesel price rose 6.1 cents to $4.026 a gallon during the week ended Aug. 20, according to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration. It was the seventh straight increase for diesel prices, which are now above $4 on average nationwide for the first time since mid-May. The average price is 21.6 cents a gallon above the same week last year.
