CVSA sees record low for out-of-service violations during Roadcheck 2015
Nearly a quarter of the 44,989 trucks hit with a Level I inspected during the Roadcheck 2015 inspection blitz in June were placed out-of-service, according to numbers reported Sept. 28 by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. CVSA inspected just shy of 70,000 trucks and buses in total.

California adopts rule to require 10 percent reduction truck-caused carbon emissions by 2020
The California Air Resources Board announced last week it has re-adopted a Low Carbon Fuel Standard, which requires a 10 percent reduction in the carbon intensity of transportation fuels by 2020.
