Next-gen oil on track for 2016 release, oil makers in the thick of prep, says Chevron’s Shawn Whitacre
PC-11 will be split into two categories. The first will replace the current CJ-4 oils on the market and will be licenced as CK-4 by the American Petroleum Institute. The second, which will be called FA-4, will be low viscosity oils — “thinner” oils designed to help increase fuel economy and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

House bill would increase Interstate weight limit to 91,000 pounds
Rep. Reid Ribble, at a press conference on Thursday, said increasing the allowable weight to 91,000 pounds with six axles would increase the industry’s productivity by increasing capacity. It would also reduce congestion and boost safety, he said.
